Your valuable contribution benefits a medical mission I organize every year to perform necessary surgery and provide medical care for deformity correction of underpriviledged children in communities in need.
Walk. Run. Dream.
Orphanet estimates that from one to three children out of 50,000 are born with Hemimelia—a congenital deformity. Other three to four children are born with other types of physical deformities. In Latin America, many of these deformities go untreated, specially for the very poor. A poor child with a lower extremity deformity grows at the fringes of society. The medical mission, though small, helps about a dozen underpriviledged children a year to “walk, run, dream”.
CLESF's Medical Missions: CLESF's team of dedicated surgeons performs life-changing, pro-bono surgeries on a number of children to correct their lower extremity congenital deformities. Our physicians on location and dedicated hospital staff are continuing the care for these patients to ensure a healthy recovery. These children soon receive physical therapy and eventually are able to walk, inspir, and realize their dreams instead of having to live with such a limiting condition. Every year, CLESF attempts to help children in such situations. CLESF Educational Programs: In addition, CLESF organizes annual high quality seminars and symposia providing post-academic training to orthopaedic surgeons with leading techniques and biotechnologies. |
Scholarships
A scholarship program to assist qualified Hispanics to pursue a business graduate degree. Scholarships are offered each year for full-time and part-time study at an AACSB accredited institution of the student's choice.

Asociación Líderes Hispanos (ALH) is a U.S. based non-profit association dedicated to fostering discussion, diagnosis and proposals centered around the wellbeing of Hispanics in the U.S. Furthermore, it works on reinforcing the links between the U.S. Hispanic Community and Spain promoting ‘triangulation’ between the U.S., Spain and Latin America. Since 1998, Fundación Carolina together with Universidad Menendez Pelayo and other Spanish institutions, organize the Young Leaders Program (“Programa Jovenes Lideres”) of which the alumni are members of Asociación Líderes.
